Traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Coming to Greenfield
Opening Ceremony to take place Friday, May 24, 2019
The City of Greenfield, the third largest suburb in Milwaukee County, will be the first city in Milwaukee County to host the Moving Wall, a traveling half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Moving Wall memorial is free and open to the public 24 hours a day, from 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, through 4 p.m. on May 27, at Konkel Park, 5151 W. Layton Ave. in Greenfield.
The Moving Wall Opening Ceremony, which is also free and open to the public, is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, May 24. The ceremony will include participation by Vietnam veterans and junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets from Greenfield High School.
