Poll Worker Information


The Greenfield City Clerk’s office is looking for individuals who are interested in training to work as Election Registration Officials for the November 6, 2018 General Election.  Election Registration Officials assist electors with voter registration at the polls on Election Day.  Election Registration Officials must be available to work at the polls Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6:30 a.m. until 8:15 p.m.  Split shifts from 6:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.-8:15 p.m. will be considered; full shifts will be filled first. The pay for working as an Election Registration Official is $12 per hour.  Election Registration Officials are required to take a voter registration training class prior to working; pay for class attendance is $7.25 per hour.

Qualifications: Election officials must meet the following criteria: (1) Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; (2) Communicate effectively; (3) Receive training; (4) Is not a candidate for any office to be voted on at an election at which they serve; (5) Is a qualified elector, a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age, and not disqualified from voting for any of the reasons described in §6.03, Wis. Stats.
