2018-2019 City of Greenfield Construction Projects

  • W. Edgerton Avenue Reconstruction (W. Loomis Road to S. 27th Street)

The road reconstruction of W. Edgerton Avenue, from W. Loomis Road to S. 27th Street is complete. The grass landscaping is weak and weeds are present. The landscaping will be evaluated and addressed in 2019.

The neighborhood roads have been reconstructed and work is complete for 2018. The contractor will return in Spring 2019 to complete the top layer of asphalt and storm inlet adjustments. The grass landscaping is weak and weeds are present. The landscaping will be evaluated and addressed in 2019.

W. Morgan Avenue from W. Forest Home Avenue to S. 43rd Street will be reconstructed in 2019 to include curb and gutter, sidewalks, new storm sewer and new street lights. The road will have one travel lane and one bike lane in each direction. On-street parking lanes will be provided in certain locations. Throughout construction W. Morgan Avenue will be closed to through traffic but local access to driveways will be maintained.

S. 43rd Street from W. Ramsey Avenue to W. Grange Avenue will be resurfaced to have one travel lane and a 5’ paved shoulder in each direction. There will be storm water drainage improvements and new street lights. No sidewalks or curb and gutter will be added. Throughout construction S. 43rd Street will be closed to through traffic but local access to driveways will be maintained.

S. 116th Street from W. Layton Avenue to W. Cold Spring Road will be rehabilitated with a new layer of asphalt. Other minor work such as spot curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement and sewer structure repairs will be completed as part of this project. The road will be closed to through traffic but local access to driveways will be maintained.

Sidewalk will be added on the east side of S. Honey Creek Drive and the north side of W. Grange Avenue in the vicinity of Elm Dale Elementary School. No further work to the roadway will be performed. Construction will occur in Summer 2019 when school is not in session. Streets within the project area will remain open during construction but on-street parking will be restricted in the construction zone.

2019 WisDOT, County & Other Construction Projects

  • S. 92nd Street (W. Forest Home Avenue to W. Howard Avenue): Spring - Fall 2019

The Milwaukee County Department of Transportation will be rehabilitating County Trunk Highway N (S. 92nd Street) from W. Forest Home Avenue to W. Howard Avenue. The new road will have one travel lane and a paved shoulder in each direction. A traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of S. 92nd Street and W. Cold Spring Road.
