Pet licensing is required for all dogs and cats over 5 months old in Greenfield. Licensing is an important part of responsible ownership. Licensed pets have been vaccinated for rabies, which protects residents and other animals.
Please note: Any resident possessing more than 2 pets would need to contact the Health Department to apply for a Fanciers Permit. The Health Department can be reached at 414-329-5275.
Pet licenses will be issued by the City of Greenfield beginning in January of each calendar year.
Fee schedule as follows:
Renewal:

Altered Pet (spayed or neutered) prior to April 1st- $12

In order to license your pet, you will need:

Postcard renewal form received from MADACC or we can provide a pet license application.

Vaccination Records to show up-to-date rabies information and spay/neuter if applicable.

Payment in the form of cash, check (made payable to City of Greenfield) or credit card (additional convenience charges do apply.)

- In person at City Hall: 7325 W Forest Home Avenue, Treasurer’s Office in Room 103.
- By mail to City of Greenfield at: PO Box 20739, Greenfield, WI 53220-0739.
- Drop box on south-side of City Hall building.
